Keep Cash Safe
Ensure any cash, be it the company’s or your own, is always kept out of sight and locked away. Be sure to set a company policy regarding petty cash. Policies to consider:
- keep only small amounts on hand and advertise this fact;
- count cash only in a private area;
- have a drop safe or time delay safe;
- make frequent bank deposits and vary your deposit time and route.
