Warrant Officer Stan Rushton (Ret’d), CD

Stan Rushton

Human Resources Coordinator and Recruiter, Commissionaires Toronto

Stan Rushton is a veteran of the Canadian Forces (CF) with 21 years of loyal and dedicated service—and a passion for human resources. Although the majority of his years of service were spent in the 1 Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (RCHA), 3 RCHA and The Combat Training Centre, the highlight of his military career is the three years he spent screening and recruiting new personnel while posted in Victoria, British Columbia (1992-1995).

In addition to serving in Victoria, Stan also served in Shilo (Manitoba), Gagetown (New Brunswick), and Lahr (Germany). He is a recipient of the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD), and the Special Service Medal (SSM, for service with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Europe). He retired from the CF in 2002.

Stan joined Commissionaires in 2006 and was posted as a security guard at a passport office. In 2008, he was posted as a general duties clerk at the Commissionaires Great Lakes Regional Head Office.

Today, he is exactly where he wants to be—a member of the Human Resources team. He is a Human resources coordinator and recruiter with the added responsibility of overseeing the Return to Work (RTW) program on behalf of the company. Stan is eager to work closely with RTW veterans, ensure that they are well taken care of, and are assigned to positions that match their skills and experience.
